MJ Buried In Muslim Tradition?
Michael had converted to Islam in November 2008 and had taken the name “Mikhaail”. Michael’s family is considering a traditional Muslim burial for the superstar to respect his new-found religious beliefs, according to a report from the Indianexpress.
A source close to the Jackson’s said it was mentioned in his will.
As far as I’m aware, MJ should have been buried before sunset on the following day after his death, if the Muslim tradition had been followed. I suppose the 2 autopsies made that impossible.
Meanwhile, I’m reading conflicting reports about where and when his funeral and final resting place will be. The latest news is now suggesting that the private service will be held at Forest Lawn in LA at 10am on Tuesday. From there, an autocade will go to the Staples Center Complex where the public memorial will be held, although the Nokia Theatre is also mentioned as the place where fans will be able to pay their final respects to MJ. The family hasn’t decided yet.
How come only the Indian news papers have reported about his Islamic Funeral.
