Michael Jackson will be buried in an exclusive $25,000 Promethean gold-plated coffin. He will be wearing a stage costume along with a pair of his favorite white glittering gloves.
Immediately after MJ’s funeral, the Jacksons want the coffin entombed in concrete to prevent fans from robbing his grave, according to a close friend of the family.
Fans of MJ who wish to attend the public memorial will be chosen by an online lottery system.
You may register for tickets here until 6 PM Pacific Time on Saturday, July 4, 2009, but keep in mind that your chances of getting selected are slim due to the overwhelming demand.
You may also encounter difficulties to access their website, as traffic to their site is extremely high.
After only seven hours, more than 500,000 fans have registered. At this rate, around 2.5 million people will be entering the lottery.
With only 8,750 available (two per person), your chances to be selected are less than 0.4%.
If you are one of the lucky fans, you will receive an email on Sunday along with a Ticketmaster code and a wristband to ensure no tickets are sold.
